Alex BERGHOFEN is the CEO and Founder of Helex Asia. He has 22 years' experience in Management Consulting and Recruiting and is a leading authority on Strategy recruitment. He has interviewed over 1,500 top-tier consultants (usually with McKinsey, Bain or Boston Consulting Group background) and has reviewed over 10,000 consulting resumes. He has over 15,700 followers on LinkedIn and has been awarded the 'LinkedIn Top Voice' title for his Career Counseling expertise.

Previous to Helex Asia, Alex was a Jr. Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company in their Singapore office, advising C-level clients on strategic issues. He joined McKinsey after completing his MBA with INSEAD in Singapore (INSEAD is regularly ranked among the Top 3 MBA programmes in the world by the Financial Times).

Before attending INSEAD, Alex was a Senior Recruitment Consultant with Michael Page International, a leading specialist recruitment firm where he built up and headed the Management Consultancy practice in Germany. Besides (Ex) Management Consultants, he has also recruited CFOs, Heads of Finance, COOs, Heads of HR and Heads of M&A/ Corporate Development. At Michael Page he was promoted rapidly into a leadership position and as a result was transferred to its Hong Kong office.

Earlier in his career Alex worked in M&A/ corporate development for Fresenius, a DAX-30 company. He also was President of a student-run-consulting firm where he worked as an advisor to Dax-30 blue-chip-clients. He started his career in banking.
